Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use cardroom.uk, on any device and with any assistive technology.

What we do

• We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
• Text is at least 16px, body text 19px, and every colour pair meets WCAG contrast ratios in light and dark mode.
• Tournament lists are real tables with row and column headers. On phones they are laid out as a list but keep their table structure.
• Links, buttons and filters have large tap targets and a clear yellow focus style.
• Freshness is always given in words and dates, never by colour alone.
• Every page works without JavaScript. Filters, search and "Use my location" are extras.

Known problems

• Some venue websites we link to are not accessible. We can't fix those.
• Calendar files estimate a four-hour length for each tournament, because venues don't publish finish times.
